Jerusalem · Mamilla
Vian Mamilla is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually working to improve the user experience for all our guests and to apply the accessibility standards in force, both in Israel and internationally.
This statement sets out our commitment, the conformance status of our website, the technical measures we have implemented, the assistive technologies with which our website is compatible, and the channels through which users may contact us regarding accessibility.
We believe that the digital experience of our establishment should be open and welcoming to every visitor, regardless of ability. Vian Mamilla therefore undertakes to make its website, vian.co.il, and the services it presents, as accessible as reasonably possible to persons with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive impairments.
Our website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), at Level AA. WCAG 2.1 Level AA is the internationally recognised benchmark for digital accessibility and is referenced by, among others, the following legal and regulatory frameworks:
• Israeli Standard SI 5568 and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773–2013;
• Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as interpreted by the United States Department of Justice;
• Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act;
• The European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), in force across the European Union;
• The harmonised European standard EN 301 549;
• The Equality Act 2010 (United Kingdom) and the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
We pursue this level of conformance as part of our ongoing commitment to inclusion. Where, for technological reasons, full conformance for a particular element cannot yet be achieved, we strive to provide an equivalent, accessible alternative.
The following measures, among others, have been put in place to support an accessible experience on vian.co.il:
• A semantic page structure that supports assistive technologies;
• Full keyboard navigation, including operation by means of the Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter and arrow keys, without dependence on a pointing device;
• Sufficient colour contrast between text and background, in line with WCAG 2.1 Level AA;
• Alternative text descriptions for informative images;
• Visible focus indicators on interactive elements;
• Resizable text up to 200% without loss of content or functionality;
• Responsive design that adapts to common screen sizes, including mobile devices;
• Clear field labels and accessible error messages on forms.
The website has been designed to function with widely used assistive technologies and modern browsers, including:
• Screen readers: NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver (macOS and iOS), TalkBack (Android);
• Screen magnification software, including ZoomText and operating-system magnifiers;
• Recent versions (within the last two release cycles) of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Edge.
Despite our efforts, certain elements of the website may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations may include:
• Embedded third-party content (for example, mapping services and social-media feeds), the accessibility of which is governed by the relevant third-party providers;
• Older media files or documents uploaded prior to the publication of this statement, which may not be fully tagged or captioned.
Where such limitations come to our attention, we will endeavour to address them, or to provide an accessible alternative, within a reasonable timeframe.
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our website. If you encounter any accessibility barrier, or if you require information presented on this site in an alternative accessible format, please contact us. We will use reasonable efforts to respond to feedback and requests within three to five business days.
